Keeping an Open Mind- Jack Ladd

The iceberg analogy made a lot of sense to me. Food and clothing are just a small part of other people's culture, and that in order to apreciate their culture fully we must understand everything, not just the tip of the iceberg. I also agree that if you want to fully enjoy yourself in another country you must have an open mind and not compare their country to your own. I think the best way to be open minded is to do research on their culture and way of life before you go so you know what to expect when you get there and are not suprised by their customes.
